Born in Calgary, Deborah, trained as a journalist and majored in photojournalism at SAIT graduating in 1989.  With her ongoing education she recently studied with renowned dance photographer, Cylla von Tiedemann.

Her portraits are notable for the depth of authentic emotion she portrays. She has been published in books and magazines.  Her images have also been featured on the covers of Western Parent and Birthing Magazine.

She formerly belonged to, femmefoto, a professional, women’s photography collective showing fine art photography.  Deborah’s photography has been shown in exhibitions at Artspace, The Epcor Centre, The Globe, Zillies and Hollyhock.

Her business clients have included; The City of Calgary, TSX Venture Exchange and Meyers, Norris & Penny.

She has involved herself as a volunteer photographer in not-for-profit organizations she enthusiastically believes in.  These have included; community associations, music clubs, and various dance groups, Healthy Calgary and Globalfest.
